How Do I Know What Mindset I Have?
Your mindset can change to support more resilience and higher attainment – just by reading this you are part of the way there
Start by looking at the following statements:
- You have a certain amount of intelligence, and you really can’t do much to change it.
- Your intelligence is something about you that you can’t change very much.
- You can learn new things, but you can’t really change your basic intelligence.
Do you agree or disagree with these statements? If you agree with two or more of these statements then you have a mindset that is more fixed. If you disagree with two or more of these statements then your mindset is more growth oriented.
You can also explore your learning behaviours to help understand whether you have a mastery orientation. This normally follows from a growth mindset.
